RESEARCH INFORMED
DESIGN THINKING.

During my first year, I created a stylized isometric scene of Portsmouth as part of the Research Informed Design Thinking module. This project developed through layers of research, iteration, and refinement. It became a study in visual storytelling, exploring how a city's identity could be distilled into simplified forms without losing its character. Each asset, from well-known landmarks to subtle architectural details, was crafted with intention, balancing clarity and personality. The scene aimed to reflect complexity through restraint, capturing the spirit of Portsmouth with variety and rhythm, but without overwhelming the composition. Structure without stiffness, variety without visual noise.
